Location: Oswestry
Salary: Up to £20.95 per hour

Shifts:

  • Week 1: 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM

  • Week 2: 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM

  • Monday to Friday

About the Role: HGV Technician
We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our team. As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on various makes of HGVs and trailers to the highest industry standards. Key Responsibilities: HGV Technician

  • Carry out maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles and trailers, adhering to industry standards

  • Diagnose and repair faults efficiently

  • Attend to disabled vehicles at the roadside or customer premises

  • Ensure all vehicles are handled with care and that safety protocols are followed

  • Liaise with the parts department to obtain necessary components

  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness within the workshop

  • Complete job cards, service sheets, and time clocking in a timely manner

  • Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices

  • Continuously enhance your knowledge by attending training sessions and keeping up to date with industry advancements

Required Skills and Experience: HGV Technician

  • Proven experience working as an HGV Technician or similar role in a commercial workshop environment

  • Technical qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent) or relevant experience

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and repairs

  • Ability to work well within a team and independently

  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality work

Desirable but not Essential:

  • HGV and PSV Licence

  • Experience with diagnostic tools and repair systems
