Business Development Manager

Location: Bournemouth
Salary: Up to £40,000 DOE plus a great commission structure, car allowance, phone.
Hours: Monday to Friday 8AM -5PM

Tru Talent is excited to partner with a local disposal facilities client in the search for a skilled Business Development Manager to join their dynamic team!
In this pivotal role, you’ll drive the company’s growth by identifying new business opportunities, cultivating strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners, and ensuring the long-term success of these collaborations.

Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager:

  • Proactively selling profitable new business opportunities

  • Managing a portfolio of existing accounts to increase client spend

  • Conducting sales prospecting and leading pricing negotiations

  • Maintaining an organised diary and regularly updating daily/weekly activities

  • Driving forward social, economic, and environmental strategies

  • Targeting high-value accounts with a minimum spend of £50,000 per annum

  • Consistently achieving and exceeding quarterly and annual targets set by the business

  • Preparing and presenting personal performance reports

  • Collaborating effectively with departments and the wider business team

  • Utilising the company’s operating system regularly to track and report sales performance

  • Serving as the primary liaison between the company and target customers as needed

  • Developing and executing profitable growth strategies

  • Leading by example through clear communication, delivering results, and upholding company culture and values

What we are looking for in the Business Development Manager:

  • An individual with experience in Waste Management or Construction.

  • Exceptional communication skills

  • Strong honesty and integrity

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders

  • Empathy and a deep understanding of customer perspectives and service needs

  • Sharp analytical skills

  • Excellent time management and prioritisation abilities

  • Highly ambitious, results-driven, and achievement-focused
